America’s Library – A great history website telling America’s story. You can play history games, learn history songs and find biographies on famous Americans.

Digital History – From the University of New Hampshire, you can search history topics by eras and topics. They have tons of lessons plans and quizzes to help test your children’s knowledge! The timelines are great too!

The Avalon Project – You can see digital copies of important documents throughout American history, from 1492 to present day.

World History – We love this site...it has timelines, quizzes, and general history information. Geared more towards high school kids.

Kid Citizen – This website gives kids an intro to civics and government. Lots of interactive lessons to explore Congress and civic engagement.

Ken Burns In The Classroom – Ken Burns is a famous documentary maker (if you haven’t seen any of his documentaries, we highly recommend you watch some! They’re so educational!) and this is a website dedicated to the documentaries he’s made.

Smithsonian's History Explorer – We love this site. It has museums to explore, interactive games and videos and a whole lot of lesson plans and activities.

The Library of Congress – this is a very official US Government website, so the information is pretty much the most accurate you can find on the internet. We love using their photograph archives – they have some amazing collections on there!
