Update

Life has changed drastically since we started our little club a few years ago. I think it’s safe to say, 2020 is one for the history books. We are living through some wild times right now. From a global pandemic to the Black Lives Matter movement, to the questionable political standpoint of President Trump, this year has been a lot.

As you know, this group is composed of three Mother’s and their children and husbands. All three of us (Sarah, Amelia and Erin) work full time. When COVID hit the United States, things got a little hectic. The three of us were lucky enough to do our jobs remotely and have been able to work from home; unfortunately, our husbands were not. This meant that when our children's school shut down, we were forced to be working moms and regular moms, all at the same time. This proved to be very difficult. Now more than ever we realize just what a teacher’s job entails, and how teachers are truly the backbone of our children’s lives. It was hard. Really hard. Trying to maintain some sort of schedule in our kids’ lives while working simultaneously was too much at times. Either our job or our kid’s schoolwork got pushed to the wayside. We found it nearly impossible to do both.

So with that, our little learning group has obviously changed as well. The three of us are putting together a new lesson plan (and game plan for life) to start implementing in the next month or so. We plan on sharing all the details online, in hopes to help other Mothers, educators and home school enthusiasts. Now more than ever, we are relying on friends and family for support. If we can help other educators out there in anyway, please don’t hesitate to ask!

We look forward to what the future holds. Everyone, please stay safe.
